I am Colombian, from Cali
I lived in the USA for more than 10 years
I went to College in Queens New York
I studied industrial design
I returned to Colombia in 1995
I have been teaching English ever since
I have been teaching English on line for more than a decade.
I think English on line offers teachers and students many advantages.

First of all, listening and speaking become crucial and hence listening quality increases
unlike regular settings where listening is highly interrupted
by visual obstacles that call students attention while somebody is talking
in addition students' speaking rythem improves, speaking patterns and entonation become more important.
Secondly, they can also be more engaging than classroom activities
because of all the different tools there are for instance,
today we have acssess to information on real time
which inmerse students in a world that allows them to generate ideas more quickly and effectively.
can you imagine using all four walls in a room as a projector?
I believe these tools will make a big difference in the way students acquire their second language.

I like helping students have fun while learning
and I like helping student make sense of it all
I am also aware that students are individuals and I try to offer activities that go according to their personal styles.
