Studying a new language can be very stressful and time-consuming. And many times, we tend to study this new language in our own country of origin - therefore, not having the opportunity to practice daily with native speakers.
A little about myself, I was born in Ukraine - and when I was 7 years old, my family and I packed everything up, and left our country to live in Denver Colorado USA. As a child, it was a very difficult experience for me since I didn't speak English at all. I remember my first day of school in the USA - it was full of tears! I couldn't understand the teacher, nor the other students.
Living through this experience has given me the opportunity to become an English teacher. And because of this experience, I have developed a certain empathy towards my students becuase I understand exactly what they are going through. I'm able to tailor classes to each student, creating the perfect atmosphere for them to learn and retain the English language because I have been in their shoes.
All in all, learning a new language should be a fun and rewarding experience, something that you look forward to everyday! Being able to speak multiple languages in today's world is a highly sought-out skill that can prove useful anywhere and everywhere.
Always look on the bright side, and keep your goals in view. Write your objectives down, create a plan, and follow it. Practice makes perfect.
Happy Learning!
